Privacy authorities remain concerned about the Privacy Shield

Once again on the mayhem generated from the Privacy agreement between EU and US. For instance, did you know that:

  • once a user demands erasure of its data by one company, American entities are not forced to do so?
  • American companies ar enot prohibited from mass searching/mining personal information?
  • Yes, there is an ombudsman, but what does this do and what are exactly its powers? And are these powers sufficient?
  • The Privacy shield still does not address automated decisions (made on personal data)?
