Voor- en nadelen van een interne of externe functionaris gegevensbescherming

Should a Data Protection officer be an external or an interla employee?

When external:

  • no training costs, right expertise right away,
  • less administrative costs
  • fixed cost, flexible work
  • higher independence from the BoD
  • groups with several  entities can be better tackled,
  • by being part of networks/organisations, there are more chances to keep up with the due legislation

When internal:

  • already familiar with tools and industry.
